FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
-
We provide a few professional services in addition to carpentry:
Professional project management on larger projects where subcontracting is required.
3d Design and renderings on smaller projects where our clients need to refine their vision.
-
We offer flexible pricing based on project type and complexity. After an initial conversation, we’ll provide a transparent quote with no hidden costs.
For professional services we estimate our costs and provide a flat fee or percentage (cost-plus) fee structure depending on complexity and scale of the project.
-
We try to provide very fair and transparent estimates, but we do not operate on an hourly rate.
When working for builders we try to provide a per foot price on common items like baseboard and casings, and per item pricing on things like fireplace surrounds, or custom accents and built in features.
If you hire us to design and general contract a covered outdoor kitchen, or a deck, we charge an initial design fee and provide a total project cost after design. Based on materials, sub-contractors, and any added costs of permitting, site preparation, etc.
-
Yes, absolutely.
We offer our other skills and experience as a value add to clients, but it is not required.
-
Unfortunately, that is not how we work. We charge by the project, not the hour. What this means to you, is if we underestimate the complexity of something, or make a mistake, we will commit the extra time to finish the project.
-
We are a small veteran owned company that values community. Integrity and craftsmanship are more important than closing a deal. If we make a mistake we will admit it and fix it.
Humility is also a core value, and if something is outside our capability, we will try to refer you to the correct person.

Cascade Ridge Carpentry is a small company. We have 2 full-time employees, and a few people that assist with projects. Our founder wears many hats, and is our designer, one of our project managers, and our senior carpenter.
Because of our scale we self-perform smaller projects, and leverage experience and a network of subcontractors to manage larger projects.
For finish carpentry projects, we can complete whole home projects, and being small is beneficial. We are able to control quality much closer.
-
Collaborative, honest, and straightforward. We're here to guide the process, bring ideas to the table, and keep things moving.
If we don’t have a solution to a problem, you can expect that we will find it.
If changes are made, or complications arise, we will work together to adjust and continue progress

Our clients are typically businesses and private individuals. So, we don’t like to post and share client’s projects with rare exceptions.
Posting a general contractor’s work is misleading because we also general contract smaller projects. We want you to see our work.
Sharing individual’s projects is often in bad taste because we work in residential construction; we would be showing you someone’s home.
Given the opportunity to pre-fabricate pieces in our shop, or work on unoccupied projects, we will ask permission to market the project.
